Im not sure of the exact measurements. and If you dont put the doors on in the first place then you will never notice that they are supossed to be there. However, If you put the doors on and then take them off you will more than likely see where the where the holes were. And the storage space is ample. My bf storehis xbox 360 standing up inside it on one side with plenty more room still on that side for all the games and controllers and headsets and its not crowded. and thats just one side

The entire stand is made of wood. There's no cardboard backing or little nails to hammer in. It took me 1 1/2 hours to put it together.
