liquid vapor. See attached pic... you pour a capful in the medicine cup and as it steams it collects a little of the vapor and the room starts to smell.

answer 11
The liquid vapor is sold seperately. I bought an 8oz bottle for $8.00 and there was a .50 coupon inside the vaporizer box. It only takes a VERY small amount of the medication so the bottle should last awhile, although I recommend using a dropper or syringe to pour the meds in or you will end up wasting alot. Hope this answers your question and then some!

It does have to come apart at the sink to add more water. It does need to be taken apart which is something to get used to. but not too bad, except for learning to get the cooling chamber off. You have to kind of pull it back gently and ease it apart. It goes back on much easier. We've found that saving cleaned gallon milk jugs and refilling them at the store at the Culligan water cooler for 29 cents each is the way to go. The heater stays very clean and doesn't get limed up.

Remove water tank from unit.
1) Take water tank to sink and remove tank cap.
2) Rinse water tank out once (if new)
3) Fill water tank with cool, NOT hot/cold water.
4) Replace tank cap.
5) Make sure tank cap is properly sealed
6) Replace tank onto humidifier base
7) Place in location 6 inches away from a wall and on a firm, flat, level surface.

No, you can't on this one. You have to be able to turn the thing upside down to fill it with water, which makes it pretty heavy. Then you have to screw that cap back on and then plop it back on the base, which can be tricky. It's hard for me, and I'm nowhere near 90 years old! (but would be blessed to be able to get there one day).
Hope that answer helps. :)

Depends on how often you use it. It needs to be cleaned weekly using vinegar for the tank and the warming unit. And then there is a monthly process for cleaning as well as "end of the season" cleaning.
You really need to read the manual. There is an entire section on maintenance that is simple to follow and even shows you how to clean if builds up scale from calcium and mineral deposits. Lemme know if you need more info and I'd be happy to assist if you can not locate your manual.

The instructions state that unit should be cleaned after each use, and fresh water added prior to next use. I use filtered water in mine, which cuts down on mineral deposits; I use mine for about a week or until the water level is very low, before cleaning.
