As a consumer, I can only let you know why I purchased the product, & give my comment on what I noticed when it arrived & after using the product.
Since I also base the selection & purchase of products at times on reviews from others, the decision normally comes down to me and I decide if I want to take a chance on the product. This allows me to decide if I will purchase it again.
These questions asked, made me do a little more reveiw of olive oils. I've always heard it's healthier and used olive oil when I stir-fry vegetable/steam them. This product was also gluten, sodium & cholesterol free and the price was in my budget.
I can also tell you that when I received the oil & took it out the box, it was well packed and it was very cold & cloudy. It appeared to have been refrigerated. Once the oil came to room temperature it was a golden/dark green color and looked like the olive oils I've seen before. So,I decided to use it and found out it does have a stronger smell than other olive oils I've used, there was no after taste & my food still tasted delicious.
