It is best to drink the mixture after or post-workout, the best idea is to have a good workout plan that allows you plenty of time to recover and rest before moving on to something else. As for a proper diet http://www.bodyfortress.com/pages/mealplans.aspx See this page, the manufacturer is kind enough to give us a basic idea of a good meal plan. As for workout plans see this page http://www.bodyfortress.com/pages/training_programs.aspx They were also kind to share with us a plan.
Remember in all you do, make sure you are healthy enough to exercise and see a doctor before taking OTC treatments and starting any workout plan.

I agree with the recommendation of professionals to drink it within a half hour of your workout. I take it with me to the gym and drink half before starting my workout and half immediately afterwards and I am very pleased with my results. I tried taking it at other times and noticed a difference in how I felt. It still worked, but I don't think that it worked as well. Also, I only use one scoop. I have never tried a full serving. I have found that the 26 grams of protein I get from half of a serving is enough to meet my goals. So far so good!

I use this for breakfast every morning. It is also good after a morning workout. You should always have nutrition within an hour after a workout. Your body is ready to absorb nutrients at that time.

I take one scoop 1.5 hours before I lift weights and another scoop within 1 hour of finishing weight lifting. I also take 1 scoop right before bed. A lot of times I will also take 1 scoop when I wake up if I am not lifting weights that day.

If you want to do it correctly, you will get a Whey Isolate product for post workout drinking. This doesn't digest as quickly as isolate but it's better than nothing.

You should drink this product within 30 minutes of ending your workout. It will help get the protein to your muscles and speed recovery.

There are many other times that you might want to drink a shake with other advantages, but I feel the post workout shake is the most important.

Definitely right after a workout. Says on the bottle as well. Considering what my protein intake is before I go workout, I do sometimes take it before I workout though. Best results is before/after workout. You can do it in the morning or before you go to bed if you feel that you aren't getting enough protein from food. I really don't like doing that though. Still eat plenty of protein foods though. Don't substitute this whey protein for good protein foods.

You can do whatever you want, but I don't think that adding fruit is a good idea. Actually, you should stay away from eating fruit altogether if you want to lose weight. Fruit contains a lot of sugar. Yes, I know it's the 'good sugar,' but it's still sugar. Read 4-Hour Body by Tim Ferris. He gives a lot of very good information on the topic. Good luck!

If I'm using it either in coffee or hot tea sometimes, I mix it up with a little bit of water in a shaker first and then pour it into the hot food/beverage. I find it dissolves better that way.
You could also use it straight up in a dry mix (oatmeal before adding water or in baking) too.

the calorie count per scoop is quite high. For meal replacement you may want to do one scoop, some sort of fruit (bananna works best in my opinion) and water. That would be around 250 calories. It won't fill you up too much so I would pair the shake with another hundred calories of a solid food.

Protein and fiber intake help curb craving for food. One feels satiated and does not crave for food. It is an excellent alternative for vegetarians who do not eat meat and need a substitute. Dr. Atkins research has validity if one believes in it. Losing weight is simple if incorporated with other low carb foods that have excellent nutritious value. For example, spinach, cauliflower, cabbage, lettuce etc.

I do not see Wheat listed anywhere on the container. It says it contains milk and soy ingredients. If your serving size is one scoop in 6-8 ounces of liquid, there is 26 grams of protein. If your serving size is 2 scoops [which is recommended for "serious athletes and bodybuilders (over 125 pounds)"..."immediately after exercise"], there is 52g of protein.
