answer 1
the calorie count per scoop is quite high. For meal replacement you may want to do one scoop, some sort of fruit (bananna works best in my opinion) and water. That would be around 250 calories. It won't fill you up too much so I would pair the shake with another hundred calories of a solid food.

Protein and fiber intake help curb craving for food. One feels satiated and does not crave for food. It is an excellent alternative for vegetarians who do not eat meat and need a substitute. Dr. Atkins research has validity if one believes in it. Losing weight is simple if incorporated with other low carb foods that have excellent nutritious value. For example, spinach, cauliflower, cabbage, lettuce etc.

No this is not a "hydrolyzed" whey. This is a super whey complex. Like a combination of Whey concentrate and isolate with added creatine. Not sure how much though. I think its very small amounts. This doesn't absorb as fast as hydrolyzed whey does, but has both fast digesting and slow digesting proteins. Pretty good stuff for the price.

Question

Would mixing the powder with soy milk give it to much sugar?

I used whey protein powder before. And I always found it to be way too sweet when mixed with fat free milk. If I use soy milk, and flaxseed instead would that be too much sugar?

The ingredients list is attached as an image so you may verify. I have mixed it with unsweetened almond milk (unsweetened almond milk alone is VERY bland) and I have noticed I've needed to add stevia as a sweetener, as it was too bland. With whole milk, it was drinkable.

answer 4
It would depend on the type of soymilk you use. I use a very low carb one and I am a diabetic so I have to watch my sugars. This product has 8 grams of carbs (3 grams of sugar) per 2 scoops (reccomended serving size)which is pretty good. If you really are worried about sugar content, mix it with water...or....use a surgar free drink mix like Crystal Light to add to your protein powder....say like cherry flavor mixed with chocolate powder...yummy!

I am lactose intolerant so I mix this with the light soy milk and I do not find this too sweet at all. I also like to let it sit in the freezer for a little bit and it makes it slushy and really good. The gritty texture some people complain about is totally gone by then. Try the strawberry or vanilla and you can mix it with frozen fruit in a blender, semi-freeze it and it is excellent. As far as the flaxseed, I am not sure. Flaxseed can sometimes make a drink thicker. I do use it in my Greek yogurt. Excellent!

Question

How much Vitamin K in each serving

I am on blood thinners, with an artificial valve. I exercise regularly but due to the low consumption of dietary proteins my hair is falling out. I'm female, this is not good! The dietitician said long term lack of sufficient protein (1 year now) and low on B vitamins are the culprits. It may take a while & the thinners adjusted after I get regular on the protein shake but HOW MUCH VK is in 1 prepare serving? Thank you!

A negligible amount really, it is so small it is not even listed on the ingredients. I seriously doubt you will even notice it. The use of this protein drink is rather safe, it provides more real proteins than any other source, however if you have real questions contact Body Fortress directly rather than post questions online.
Plus drink plenty of water, flushing out excess salts, or toxins may actually help too if you happen to have too much.
