When leakage occurs, do these underpads absorb it or does the surface stay wet?
To clarify the question, I am wondering if the surface of the underpad stays wet after leakage (as a bed sheet would) or if the leakage is absorbed into the pad, leaving the surface of the underpad dry (as well as the bed sheet that the pad is protecting).

I use a washable under pad on top of mattress; then put sheet on bed and use another washable under pad and then put the disposable pad on top of that. The leakage is absorbed into the pad. Have never had a problem with the pad being too wet.

the pad is wet but usually protects the bed. it is easy to use and helps keep under bedding clean and dry
The underpad will absorb it.

The underpad will pull the wetness into the pad and the surface will be dry.
