No it does not come with a remote comtrol. It has a foot petal for the child to control.

Yes it does go in reverse, and does "okay" on grass...rides much better on the concrete driveway.

it does have reverse and 2 forward speeds (the fast speed can be "child-locked"), and from our experience, it is much slower on grass, but does move.

I would say that she would get more use out of the Cadillac Escalade, it has lots of room, the radio is great, easy to get in and out of.
