You only need FCC grade glycerin to cook with. This superior USP grade Vegetable Glycerine is overkill, plus note that it's intended use is only for skin care. For anybody else who wonders about it, please do some research before you make a decision. Glycerin derived from animal fats is called Tallow, or Crude Mixed, or Technical Grade Only which does not exist in the legitimate USP / FCC market. HUMCO USP Glycerin is completely safe for human use. Thank You.

This question has been going on a lot lately because of e-cigarette users who use glycerin in their liquids.
Typically, most feel that this type is not edible because Humco, the manufacturer of this glycerin, has stated that it is not solely made of vegetable. Sometimes it's all vegetable and sometimes it's not, depending on the lot you get.
There is a vegetable glycerin suitable for use in fondant. Wilton makes it.

Yes you can use this mixed in your favorite conditioner (use a bowl to mix the ingredients). You dont need much either. If you do not notice your hair softer after the first try, then add a little bit more and hopefully that will make the difference.
Hope that helps!

It's USP grade. You can use it for any reasonable application. It is pure vegetable glycerin. Follow the same instructions as with other vegetable-based hair care products and you'll get the same results. My grandma loves it!

You can use glycerin in you hair, mixed with water....but make sure that it is 100% vegetable glycerin (Walgreens sells it) and not made with animal fat. Also, always test a small section of you hair to make sure it doesnt dry or frizz.

I never seen that happen. Are you talking about a perfumed body spray? I guess u can add a few drops. I think it would work better with lotions.

Typically, this is not the fondant glycerin. The one you would be looking for is the Wilton glycerin and it's found in the baking/craft department.

If you're referencing this exact type of glycerin, it's usually found in the pharmacy... close to the alcohol and mineral oils.
There is a different type of glycerin that will be found in the crafts department, close to the Wilton cake supplies.

I think so but I'm not actually sure. I think that all glycerin products are basically the same unless something is added to them. However, the one that I am sure about (It's the one I used to make my own e-juice.) is Wilton glycerin and that's found in the craft/cake decorating aisle.

You could if you really wanted to. But most people use the lower quality food grade you find in the grocery section. It's the same stuff. Only difference is the USP grade is a finer quality and more pure than the FCC grade. I know, it doesn't sound right, but it's true... go figure.

I dont know about evening skin tones but I do know you can add this to your lotions, body/face scrubs and conditioners.
You can add a few drops to your products to the consistency you desire. If you dont notice softer skin, add sum more.
Hope this helps!
