how much peanut oil does it take to cook a 20 lb turkey

You don't want to cook a turkey more than 14 pounds or else it won't turn out well. 10-12 pounds is best.

I don't know, but you can take the turkey and put it in your frying pot, then fill it with water until it is covered (just an inch or two above the top of the turkey is enough.) Then remove the turkey and measure how much water you have. It helps if your pot has markings on the side.

Another option is to estimate how much you need, buy a little more than that, then fill the pot to the same line that the water reached in the first paragraph.
