Is it the same guitar no matter which bundle you purchase: world tour, legends of rock etc? My son wants world tour. Is this a newer version of the guitar?

The world tour guitar is different than the GH3 guitar. It has a touch strip, a new whammy bar, and a new star activation button. Both the GH3 and world tour guitars work in world tour though.

No, Guitar Hero doesn't allow you to do that. The game "Lips" allows you to sing along with anything in your music library though.

THIS version has the game, and two guitars. Other versions contain the entire band kit (drums, one guitar and microphone) and they run about $190.
