The answer would be yes, up to 1500 watts for an hour then the inverter would need to cool down for 15 minutes.

Probably. Find out for sure by consulting the manufacturer's nameplate mounted on the freezer, usually on the back. On it you will find the power requirements for voltage and current (the important one for this discussion). Voltage will be a number between 110 and 120. Current will be shown in either watts or amps. If in watts, anything less than 1500 will work with this inverter. If in amps, multiply the number of amps by the number of volts. This will give you watts. Again, less than 1500 is good. Example: 120 volts x 10 amps = 1200 watts, which would work for you.

it says that this comes with battery cables, but what i want to know is can i connect this inverter to my car by using the cigarette lighter?

NO. This inverter can draw up to 150 Amps off of your battery, your Cigarette lighter is only good for about 10 Amps. You can, however hook this unit to your battery with Jumper Cable type wires, or hardwire it to your battery.

Can it run a CPAP machine for camping, etc. ?

Can we use it to power my partner's CPAP device (a 12 volt blower motor) used to treat their Sleep Apnea. For camping, visiting places w/ unpredictable power supplies &/or freq. power outages ?
There is potential for many to need such a device and I'm just wondering;( as the one the company makes costs almost $300 !!!)
