Like D-Rex, Screature "purrs" when you pet him, likes to bite, and has a mode where he'll guard your room. But Screature is definitely simpler and smaller (about half as tall). His head moves up and down and his frills open, but he doesn't walk. His skin is hard plastic, not rubbery like D-Rex. Instead of his sensors being hidden under the skin like D-Rex, they're little black contact points visible on the back and nose.
One thing Screature does that D-Rex *doesn't* do is spits water! It's a really funny surprise attack. I was worried it would be too messy to use indoors, but the stream is so thin it air dries quickly on most surfaces.
