I havent found the manual online. To program you punch in your code and the prog button to get into programming mode. Then press the up or down button to get to the function you want to set, set it, then press the arm /disarm button.

To reset your code to 000 press and hold the prog button while using a pen to press in on the reset button on the back.

yes, it will alert you if any motion is detected. You can have it on the home setting and a doorbell like chime would sound if any motion is detected.

I am not sure you would want to use this system for that purpose. The alarm is LOUD and would go off at the slight of movements. Now if you want to use it as a panic feature, that could be possible, but the elderly person would have to carry the remote to hit the panic if needed, then it would call you to turn off the system.

Does your cell phone have a different area code, if so include it. Is your phone line capable of calling your cell phone? I had no problems setting both mine and my wife's cell phones.

Yes, if the sensor is positioned to "see" low to the floor. I have an indoor dog and tested my unit with him running around the house. I have two motion sensors, one for the first and second floors. I have them positioned to see the middle of doors and windows. So far so good.

Mine came with with 1 motion sensor, and 1 door/window sensor and 1 remote. The door sensor has a switch, that will sound its own instant alarm noise, separate from the main unit, but still activated the main alarm. You can buy more remotes from mace.com for $20 ea.

The transmitter box for the window contacts has a built-in vibration detector. If it is mounted to the window sash, it should detect any rattling of the window.

answer 2
You can buy window sensors that will sound, but you won't get a call. There are no "glass breaking" sensors that will give you a call if glass breaks. I would put the motion sensor on a low shelf where it can't be seen, in an area an intruder will have to pass by (i.e. main hallway) Also if you have window or yard decals (can be purchased on ebay) from a reputable alarm company, and the glass shattering alarm goes off, the intruder will think they have tripped the main alarm just from the sound of the alarm on the Mace glass break detector.

answer 3
Nope. There is nothing that I am aware of that will work with breaking glass with this system. You could attach one of the window motion sensors to the glass itself with 2-sided tape.
answered 3 years, 10 months ago
By
guinness77
 - Oreogn
answer 4
No, sorry, the glass detector is an optional item and no it will not tell the alarm to sound off. Which means that the alarm will not call you. However, if someone was to break the glass window it would mean that they would want to gain entery. If you have a door / window sensor the alarm would then trigger and call you. May I suggest pointing a motion sensor on the window or glass door to confirm that the alarm will trigger.
