To use an induction heat source the cookware must be magnetic.

Yes! You can adapt it to this purpose, but you can forget about any product warranty. When I'm done, it will work great for my experiments. I am pleased with the quality of this product.

yes, but the process is some-what different than the walmart pressure cooker which has the temp. gauge on top. this cooker goes by timing your cook time. they both work.

Yes, far quieter than the older rocker type, it does vent pressure (steam) to maintain the proper temp - a guess at the difference would be 60-70 percent less noise.

There is no such thing. Steam has to escape otherwise you will kill yourself. It does not rattle like the older designs.

The 8-qt manual states: Use this cooker-canner ONLY for pints & half pints. Will hold up to five half pint jars, up to four regular pint jars, or up to three wide mouth pint jars. For max capacity, remove handles on the steamer basket.

No the pressure regulator is set at 15#. This is meant for cooking not canning.

No, be careful. This is a cooker and not a canner. Check out Presto's canners with gauges and weights if you want to cook and can.

Yes it does. I have seen 4 to 8 quarts and i am certain that there are larger ones. I have an 8 quart that is sufficient for me and my husband. It take hours off of cooking some things

Yes, it will hold 7 pint jars. It isn't tall enough for quart jars, though.

wow that's news to me it's not a canner, humm well then i must be doing something wrong- i use 4 reg mth ball/kerr jars to which i add 1/2 c dried beans (usually pinto) add boiling water to should (1inch head space) fill to water level and pressure for 35 mins. when times up i let pressure drop on it's own... and when i'm finished i have 4 pints of beans ready to eat when needed.

This is a pressure cooker for cooking meals for the table and not a canner. You cannot can in it. We recommend canning in a 16 quart size canner or larger.
