All insurance companies are different. If it were covered, it would be considered durable medical equipment and would probably need to be purchased through the pharmacy or a DME company.

Yes, they recommend this pillow for acid reflux sufferers. That is why I originally bought the pillow. I would not recommend it if you sleep on your side or stomach, only if you sleep on your back. I found it too hard to sleep on and decided to take it back.

It would work for legs if you placed the thick part under your knees. I think a pillow or two would work better if you needed your feet elevated

answer 4
It could work for your legs. It may have an odd angle though. You could place the thicker edge of the bed wedge under your knees while your legs rests on the other half of the wedge. It depends on the purpose of elevating your legs or feet. I would check with your doctor to ensure you are supporting your back and legs properly.

It appears to be a spandex type material. I would recommend making another cover out of an old sheet. It appears that if you remove cover, it may be difficult to squeeze pillow back in. Don't want to find out.

Hi Schmunky,

It all depends on your spine and what makes your spine hurt. My opinion is to try it out - if it isn't for you, repack it and send back.

It is probably 45 but it is extremely hard. I purchased this and returned it because the small end of the wedge does not give so it hits you in the back and is very uncomfortable. I recommend the Dream Serenity Wedge Foam Pillow for 19.99. It goes from 1/4" up to 7" and is very comfortable.
