Yes, it is very sturdy. Even I was wondering who the manufacturer until I received the package. As per the labeling on the box, it is made by Z-line designs, which is quite a popular company for making TV stands. The model number for this product is WM563-44MU. Another very similar looking Z-line model with almost the same model number is ZL564-44MU (search for it on Amazon -- it is double the price and looks almost the same except for the tinted glass).

If you're not exceeding the maximum weight of 130 lbs and the brackets fit, you'll be safe putting a 52" on it. Just make sure you anchor the stand to the wall behind it.

The package indicates a range of 37" to 50"...it seems to be sturdy enough to handle another 2", but I recommend a visit to your local store(hopefully they have one on display) so that you can check it out...Good Luck!

It can hold but your TV may pop out little bit on both the ends. See my picture, where I have fitted a 46" TV , which is nearly the edge of the Glass.

No. I have a 46" and it has a good 2" of glass on either side of the screen.

We have a 42" Samsung and it fits very nicely. The glass shelves are about 2" wider than the tv on each side.

No the back stand is the main support for the entire stand. you dont necessarily have to use the mount for the tv for example if u have a tv that has a stand u cant just set your tv on the top glass shelf. mounting it is not hard at all tho.
