If you're not exceeding the maximum weight of 130 lbs and the brackets fit, you'll be safe putting a 52" on it. Just make sure you anchor the stand to the wall behind it.

The package indicates a range of 37" to 50"...it seems to be sturdy enough to handle another 2", but I recommend a visit to your local store(hopefully they have one on display) so that you can check it out...Good Luck!

It can hold but your TV may pop out little bit on both the ends. See my picture, where I have fitted a 46" TV , which is nearly the edge of the Glass.

No. I have a 46" and it has a good 2" of glass on either side of the screen.
