No, You need a DTV Converter Box. So you need to buy I dont know if the GOV. is still offering a 40$ discount. But dont hesitate to get this antenna you will need it anyways. Indoor antennas suck, this one works relly good for DTV. DTV Converter Box's cost around 50$. Good Luck. :-)

The box states that it is good for up to 40 miles. However all of my stations are over 50 miles away in a rural setting, and it is receiving all of the DTV stations in my area.

depending on your location it works best from 5 miles to 40 miles from the broadcast tower. Most older style antennas like this are directional so when you point it to pick up stations in one direction you may miss picking up the stations coming from another. This is and issue with todays digital TVs that require you to scan for stations unless you manually load them in. There are antennas in the market that are omnidirectional indoor antennas, but their range is limited and terrain, location and building materials can affect reception. The omni directional antennas work best 5 to 25 miles from the broadcast antennas.

The antenna is tuned for channels 7-51 which are the primary frequencies being used after the analog shut off. It can receive higher and lower frequencies if the signal strength is sufficient.

you should be able to find them on the RCA.com website. If you live within 20 miles of the towers I do not recommend amplification. You will do better with out it in the digital world. Remember you are also amplifying the noise in the signal which is really bad and can prevent you from receiving some digital signals.

It is not easy to give a direct answer to your questions. It is a directional antenna. If your stations broadcast towers are co-located or near each other, you won't need to rotate. You can go to a website sponsored by the National Association of Broadcasters and Consumer Electronics Association www.antennaweb.org and put in your address. It will show you what direction the broadcast towers are located from your home. Whether you need an amplifier or not depends upon the strength of signals, terrain around your home, and many other factors.

It is a passive antenna and requires no power. You do have to run coaxial cable from the antenna to your tuner
