The chipboard is black all the way through. It was exactly what I expected it to be. I looked everywhere locally, including 3 different large chain craft stores, and 2 independantly owned scrapbook stores, but no one carried it. The shipping was also quick!

I use a exacto knife or my Fiskars large cutter that uses a rotary cutter blade, That works best for me. I have also cut them with my regular cutter and then finished with m exacto blade.

answer 2
You can cut it with an exacto knife but it will take several passes and I would suggest a new blade. This would be my prefered method.
You could not use regular scissors or an ordinary paper trimmer but a heavy duty paper trimmer ould cut through it.

Scissors aren't gonna' work well with this product. You could use an exacto knife on it though.

answer 4
You could use an exacto knife, but it might take a couple of repetitive cuts. I used a Rotatrim paper trimmer and it was a thick cut, but cut just fine. I don't know if a Fiskar trimmer would work or not ... probably if you went over the cut a few times with the blade.

I like to use my guillotine paper cutter. You can use a craft knife but it is too thick to cut perfectly straight lines or curves with scissors.

It is too thick to score with a bone folder and bend. I think if you scored with an exacto knife and bent, then it would work.

no it is still a paper base product. But you could paint it with chalkboard paint.

This board is like dense cardboard that is black. It is not a chalkboard, but I'd imagine you could write on it with chalk, however, it isn't gonna' come off well afterwards.
