My son is 11 and he is probably the biggest you would want to be, I can ride it and it still pulls my 180 lbs around. Seat height may be awkward but he loves it.

No, I got one for my 8 year old, he is 4' 8" and weighs 80 lbs and rides it just fine. It is a tad small for him but nothing major, I would buy it again for him because it goes faster than most battery powered ride ons and he would be bored with the speed of regular ride ons.

It really depends on the size of your child but I would think an average size 8 year old would be too big.

answer 1
There are handles in the front and back that the child can use to maneuver the bike. Of course, they must turn off and get off the bike to do this. You need to show them the proper way to move the bike around.

You don't! The rider has to dismount and either push or pull it back. So far, it hasn't been a problem for our 5 yr. old.

Not that we have found and it goes quite fast. We were very surprised when we bought it for our seven year old grandaughter. She is able to handle it and luckily we have a large yard or she would be in the street in a minute. Helmets are a must as well as supervision.

I would say a five year old handles this item great. My nine year old likes playing with it but you can see that he is to tall and his knees are up high. I would say 5,6, and 7 year olds would get the most of what it has to offer. I was happy that I purchased this for my 5 year old.

It has a real throttle that lets you go at your own speed, but a beginner would need some time to get adjusted. You can't set the top speed any slower.
