My son is 11 and he is probably the biggest you would want to be, I can ride it and it still pulls my 180 lbs around. Seat height may be awkward but he loves it.

No, I got one for my 8 year old, he is 4' 8" and weighs 80 lbs and rides it just fine. It is a tad small for him but nothing major, I would buy it again for him because it goes faster than most battery powered ride ons and he would be bored with the speed of regular ride ons.

Question

My daughter loves quads and is turning 4. She wighs about 40 pounds and saw this in the store and loved it.

I'm afraid this may be a little too much for her. Is this product appropriate for a 4 year old?

A lot depends on her size. My 5 1/2 yr old grandson has a little trouble getting his hand around the brake. This quad will go approx 10 mph. I would say it would depend on her maturity and ability. Ive seen 4 yr. olds more mature than 8 yr olds. You will pretty much have to be the judge.

My 4.5 year old grandson rides it with absolutely no problems at all. He did have a previous ride-on toy however. The previous one went a max of 5mph. The QUAD goes 8mph, although it seems a bit faster than that. Depending on her level of maturity, it might be better to start her with one that goes slower. Hope this helps.

There are handles in the front and back that the child can use to maneuver the bike. Of course, they must turn off and get off the bike to do this. You need to show them the proper way to move the bike around.

Not that we have found and it goes quite fast. We were very surprised when we bought it for our seven year old grandaughter. She is able to handle it and luckily we have a large yard or she would be in the street in a minute. Helmets are a must as well as supervision.
