I have used it on my concrete floor in the basement, and then brought it upstairs to my hardwood floors, and it did not mess up either floor with marks of any kind. My only advice would be to not make any kind of sharp turns with the unit, as the wheels are plastic, and the sharp movement might cause a small mark.
