If you use it with the seat twisted to the sides, it will work the sides and love handles.

this product can work your sides and love handles if you use it properly. instead of sitting facing forward with one foot on each footrest, turn your lower body to one side and place both feet on the same foot rest (on the side your lower body is facing) while keeping your upper body facing forward. then crunch and you will feel it in your sides and it will melt away love handles.

Possibly. At the end of the ab lounge the foot rest can be flipped either way so flip it upward where her feet can reach.

personally, I find it supports my back well. That's the reason I purchased this product because I have lower back disc problems, too, and getting on the floor to do crunches and sit-ups just doesn't work for me. good luck.

Well I don't remeber exactly who, but it was on the website about.com and you are supposed to do cardio (e.g. run, walk, dance, jumprope, etc.) before your ab workout because if you just start your workout youl will get abs, but it'll be under all the fat.

It is on their website. Just remember that slower is better with this excercise. Do not let your legs go behind you after you come down from a lift, and do not use inertia to do the work for you. Good luck!
