It is only moderately better. This model Eureka vacuum also throws around kitty litter, but now as much as my previous Bissel vacuum did.

OMG I just bought this piece of junk and all it does is blow the dog hair all over the house. Huge amounts of air blow out of the front making it impossible to suck anything up. i even tried running the pile of hair over from the back part of the vaccum and nope didnt work.. Junk junK junk... I will be returning this after 3 trys Im done.

As I mentioned in my review, there is an excessive amount of air that blows out the front of this model. It not only blows a lot of air, it blows hard, and straight at whatever you may be facing. When I got near my fireplace, it blew ashes all over the place! It was a mess! Not the wisest design to place the air vent right in front, near the bottom of the vaccuum!

yes, it actually does blow around balls of hair from the front, but i find this helpful to see where they are to suck them up!

i just got this vaccum tonight and i have to say it is a great vaccum. me and my girlfriend have a dog and a cat and this vaccum picks up every strand of hair on the carpet. it does not blow alot of air out the front of it either. The self cleaning duster is a great tool also.

Does this vacuum work well against black lab hair?
My husband and I have a black lab and she sheds like crazy. I've bought two other vacuums hoping they would do the job but her hair clogs them up so bad. I've cleaned them both many times and they still don't work. Is this vacuum good for black lab hair?

I wouldn't get it. It didn't do a great job of getting my dog's hair up. The wool fuzz from my living room carpet was always clogging the hose. I had to unscrew the hose and unclog after each use.

If you use the wand, it works great - but with every upright vacuum I have ever owned, don't try to push the vac over it on non-carpet floors, it'll spit out the back. Carpet it'll get though!

It got it all! This vaccuum SUCKS! I love it. I had cat litter all up in the corner of the room that the tray is in and this picked up every last crumb with the crevice tool.

Twist it out of the dust cup and take it out of the cage. I rinse mine with warm water and scrub lightly with an old toothbrush. Let it air dry.

I owned a Symplicity Vacuum which weighed a ton and I can say this one is much lighter. I live in a two story home and used to hate to drag my old vacuum upstairs but can manage this one just fine. Hope this helps, or and by the way I am 54 yrs old!!!

I use it on my hardwood floors not so much to vaccum the floor entirely but to get the giant clumps of dog hair from having 4 dogs. I use the hose. I have not noticed any marks left on the floor from the machine rolling on it.

No, you have to manually change the suction level with a knob on the top of the roller area.

I believe it comes with a one year warranty standard, but for like 5 extra bucks you can extend it, they'll ask you at the check out if you want to purchase the extended warranty.
