answer 3
Has a bar on each end which protrude a bit further than I would have liked but needed to leverage the installation on assembly at a campsite. If you are tall, you will meet these end crossbars.

There are bars that go around the perimeter (like a picture frame), and those hold the canvas (cloth material) in place. However, there's nothing that goes down or across the middle to jab you in the back. I've been sleeping on this nightly for two weeks and have been really comfy!

There is not that nasty bar under your back if that's what you're talking about. There is a bar underneath the middle but it is U-shaped so you cannot feel it under your back :)

I know it says steel, but is this really aluminum?
The weight is really low for comparable steel cots. Either really flimsy steel tubing or nice strong aluminum. Which it it really?

I believe this item folds up in half (38") and is about 8" x 8" x 38" and is in a carrying case with a handle. This is approximate, but pretty close.

Are replacement parts avaialble for this cot?
I have a relatively new cot that the plastic ends have broken off. These are the pieces that hold the cross brace on and hold the cot tight. Thanks for any help you can offer.
