bobbin winder will not release to wind bobbin singer model 2263
when I move bobbin winder into position to wind bobbin, the machine goes into a bind. when I move the bobbin wider back to the sew position the machine works fine, but I cannot wind a bobbin. something is catching when I put the bobbin winder in the wind position, that will not let the machine wind the bobbin. What can I do?

When you are going to wind the bobbin on the SINGER 2263, you need to make sure of 2 things:
1) The needle is in the highest position.
2) When you slide the the bobbin pin to the right, you need to be sure it 'snaps' all the way over into place to fully activate the bobbin winder.
If this does not help, please contact SINGER's Customer Support department at 800-474-6437 M-F from 8:30 - 4:00 CST or you can contact them at email@example.com.
