The number of pictures depends on what you have the image size set at and the capacity of the memory stick. I got a 2GB memory stick bundled with the camera. At a relatively high resolution I can store several hundred photos.

Sadly no. The size of the memory sticks changed between the P series and the S series.

Note: The memory stick adapters you may have seen advertised are for a computer, not the camera.

Not very good for this particular issue. Lag time as u call is so slow especially for taking pics of sm children or for the person taking it who isnt very patient like myself who also has 3 young children.

No it will not, I had a 2GB scandisk memory stick and it did not fit in the Cybershot. Sony is known for making things that are only compatiable with their products.

I found no usable video capabilities in this camera. It appeared to be a reject which had been returned and resold, probably for this reason.

No, it did not come with a memory stick, however I purchased on at Radio Shack at a reasonable price and am able to get about 970 pictures.
