NO. I believe it voids the warranty and can ruin the ceramic coating.

No, they are not copper-bottomed and you should not put them in the dishwasher. The warranty doesn't cover dishwasher damage and the non-stick surface will scratch over time in the dishwasher. They are very easy to quickly hand wash, though!

They are not copper-bottomed. I do not put mine in the dishwasher, but because of the coating, they are simple to clean up in the sink.

don't believe they are copper bottom.

i have never put any cookware that i have owned in the dishwasher - always wash by hand.

the brochure that comes with the cookware indicates that porcelain enamel cookware and even copper bottom cookware are NOT dishwasher safe.

It shouldn't stain as long as you don't put the burner on its highest setting and you don't allow it to burn dry. I haven't had mine long enough to tell you. I have an adorable Robin's Egg Blue teapot that matches my set!

There is a percolator (the kind you set on the burner), a teapot, a 5 quart roasting pan, the stockpot, another set of two skillets (I believe 8" and 10") the BIG skillet with a lid (I believe they refer to it as a saute pan or something like that, and the butter warmer (1 quart pan with pour spouts on the rim). Oh yea - there's also a griddle with sides and, I believe a flat griddle as well. There may be more, not sure. I want them ALL!!!!! I have the 10 piece set!

Is this cookware safe for glass top stoves???

the booklet it said that they are not really recommended for a glass top stove (which I have). They can actually fuse with your cook top if they get too hot. I have used them several times and have not had a problem yet! I just don't cook on high and set them on a trivet to cool when I am done cooking.

answer 2
The instructions that came with the set recommend the flat-bottomed stainless steel or hard-anodized exterior cookware on ceramic/glass cooktops. Overheating or allowing porcelain enameled or silicone polyester cookware to boil dry can result in the fusing of the cookware to the ceramic/glass stovetop. Never place a hot pan on a cool ceramic/glass stovetop burner! Also, the decorative pan bottoms may not conduct heat evenly. Sounds like it is not a good idea to use this cookware on glass top stoves.

I am using it on a glass cooktop and have not had any problems. I am careful to dry the bottom of the pot before putting it on the cooktop.

Question

Lid for large fry pan?

Does the stockpot lid fit on the large frying pan? In the store, this comes with a lid, I'm somewhat concerned that the reviews say the large fry pan does not have a lid.

NO it does not. You can try and put the stockpot lid on it but it sits "inside" the frypan. I'm bummed too. The pan that is sold in the store with a lid is totally different than the one that comes in the box. The one included has slanted sides and is smaller.

In the item description, it states that the saucepans are "covered" meaning they come with a lid. The skillets are not listed as "covered" therfore I would imagine they do not come with lids.

I am not sure if this will be of any help but if you click on this same 10 pc cookware set in the color Green you will see the info on the pot/pan sizes. No info as to whether or not the lids are interchangable though. It, the green set, seems to be the same set just a different color is all. Good luck.

I'm not sure if this will help but if you click on this same cookware set, in Green color, there is a lot more info. It looks like the same 10 pc cookware set only in green, not aqua. Same price too.
No info whether or not the lids are interchangable though.

No. If a hot pot is placed on a cold burner or if it burns dry, the pot can fuse to the stove top. Also, the decorative bottom may not heat evenly on a the flat surface.

Yes, I have a new Frigidaire ceramic top stove. Instructions with stove say: Porcelain-enamel coating must be smooth to avoid scratching ceramic cooktops. Cookware should have flat bottoms that make good contact with the entire surface heating element.
Paula Deen cookware has special instructions for ceramic/glass stovetops included in product.
I use my Paula Deen cookware on my ceramic cooktop EVERY DAY, NO PROBLEM! Follow your stove and cookware instructions!!

It says in the instructions that this cookware can go in the over up to 350 (without the lids, I assume) but I haven't done it yet. It also says the handles may slightly discolor with oven use.

Question

What is the non-stick material made of on the inside of the pans? Specifically.

We are interested in the blue non-stick pans but would like to know if the non-stick material is made of teflon? what?
Also we have seen a report about NOT using the blue pans on glasstop ranges.
It is not on all product details.
Please clarify.

No. But they are quite easy to handwash quickly. You should never put non-stick surfaces in an automatic dishwasher. I washed my last set (different brand) in the dishwasher for ten years AND IT LOOKS TERRIBLE! Also, the warranty doesn't cover dishwasher damage.
