No it doesn't. But I could recommend that you use those ones Stick=It LED lights that were seen on tv. They are called Stick N' Click. small round LED lights that run on batteries and you can stick them anywhere.

I don't have one in this fridge I bought, but the idea just dawned on me and I think it would stick and work great. And you just tap them to turn the light on and off.

Wal Mart actually might sell them in their stores as well. By the hardware section. They shouldn't be more than ten bucks.

No internal light, being there's no real need unless your using it in the dark. The white interior is easy enough to see anything inside,

Yep. The coil is black and its sticking out of the fridge in the back. Not too bulky but myself, I managed to put some air space in between that and what I have it against (it sits by my desk in my room).

This door opens from the left tgoing toward the right. I am not sure if it can be changed to either side. The peak amps I guess are 1.5. The start up amps are 6.3 (so maybe that is the peak if the number is higher?).

According to the instruction manual:
ADJUST TEMPURATURE DIAL:
Your refrigerator will automatically maintain the temperature level you select. The temperature control dial had 5 settings plus 0. 1 Is the warmest. 5 is the coldest. At first, set the dial to 3 and allow 24 hours to pass before adjusting the temperature to your needs.

Yes 1 is the least thermostat setting. The thermostat sensor (bulb) is located on the bottom of the freezer section, which is also exposed to the fresh food compartment as most all full size fridges.

I wouldn't recommend it. When I received it I loaded the provided ice cube tray and then checked it a few days later and it didn't even freeze the ice.
But you might just have to turn the thermostat dial up. The frezer on this model isn't even big enough to store a gallon of ice cream actually.

answer 2
According to the instruction manual:
FREEZER COMPARTMENT/USE OF ICE TRAYS
This compartment is designed for making ice cubes and for short-term food storage (a few days at most)
WARNING: The compartment is not cold enough to freeze foods safely for more than 5 days.

Hope this helps. :)

superconductor technology. And it does not cool every fast.. 115 Watts 24-7. I has two cooling units in side. Takes 24 Hours to reach max cool. 37' one of the two cooling units died in my fridge and it only reaches 55' now.. (replacement in for 14.99 ) 1 year warranted.

UL seal on inside of fridge door bottom left hand side it states 115 volts at 60 hertz has a start up amperage of 6.3 amps with a running amperage of 1.5 amps wattage is 180 watts stated on walmart answers.com
sounds like this fridge should fall into requirements wattage may be a lil high but all other specs fall in line.

answer 3
This unit draws more than 100 watts. Wattage is determined by multiplying amperes X voltage. If your son is limited to a unit that draws only 100 watts, that is only .87 amps at 115 volts, or in fractions 7/8 of 1 amp at 115 volts.

The Black and Decker 1.7 CF fridge would work fine within those limits, but it has no freezer compartment.

Both units are UL approved.
