answer 1
115V, 60HZ, 130W, 1.6A
You'll want to do the math yourself to determine KWH.
Way less electrical use than a compressor driven fridge running at 13A.

answer 2
If you are worried about the KWH this is not for you as it is no a real fridge, but a cooler with a fan.

answer 3
In my 73F room it is sucking about 1.2 kWh/day according to the 'Kill-A-Watt' Meter. If you don't open the door much it would probably be under 1 kWh/day. So about 5 cents a day. So we'll say about $20.00 per year to run.

It is a PID switching power supply controller so it uses just what it needs. The power factor is low at 0.6 but that does not matter much.
answered 2 years, 6 months ago
By
LarsK
answer 4
Draws about 40W constantly. That compounds to 350kWh/year - or $52 for a typical $0.15/kWh.
Side note - this is about as much as a full-size fridge.

We call this a "RV" fridge as they are low amps

answer 2
The "130 Watts" that is listed on the label on the back of the device is actually the VA (Volt-Amps). Watts and Volt-Amps are effectively the same for some things (light bulbs, simple space heaters, etc) but not for others, such as this fridge. The label specifies that the unit draws 1.1 amps. 120 Volts X 1.1 Amps = ~130 VA. While running full blast, I've measured the fridge to actually draw more in the range of 0.85 - 0.95 Amps (which translates to about 100 - 112 VA). However, I've measured the actual wattage used by the device to be more in the range of 63-70 Watts.

Question

Can I put magnets on the door panel or write on it with erasable markers?

asked 2 years, 8 months ago

The door and sides are thin steel and magnets do stick. But not as hard as a thick steel door.

I tried a dray erase marker on mine and it seems to work. Mine is black so hard to tell. But is is just rough textured enamel painted steel.
