Yes, you should be able to remove the back. That way if you wanted a back later you would have one for it if you got this one rather than a bench.

The feet on the legs are made of a what appears to be a non-skid material. I would not think so but, we have a non-skid mat that is part of out tub.

answer 4
I use a long bath mat, making sure the chair legs are situated on the mat. The legs have rubber bottoms but if you were to stand and become unbalanced, you will still be on a sturdy mat for leverage. This chair is very sturdy but I am very unstable and cannot stand long, so a bath mat is necessary.

The approximate width and length is 22" x 10". The bottom has flexible rubber so that may help if it's slightly not level.

I have mine set at 17 inches tall to the top bend in the legs, but the legs are very adjustable. The feet do sit firmly on the bottom of the tub with no slipping around. You can either sit it long ways of the tub, or crossways of the tub. It is very versitile.

I believe drug stores or medical supply stores carry rubber tips for these chairs. Also, you can email the company that manufactures the chair to re-order pieces, I'm sure you can find that info on-line.
