It is just as it states "Ivory" color. There is no yellow or gold in it.
As an interior decorator for many years and good with colors, I can say that it is absolutely Ivory color. I have mine in front of my brick red leather sofa and love seat and I do have pillows with some gold but it does not pick up the gold color even when I put the pillows on the floor on top of the area rug.
I do see that they sell it in gold too though.

Yes, surprising easy to vacuum. I thought it would be difficult because the pile is pretty high, but I just put the sweeper on the high pile setting, and it did just fine. In fact, the rug looks GREAT after a fresh vacuuming, when all the shag is up and fluffy.

Yes, it vacuums nicely. Set your vacuum cleaner on its highest height, and watch the corners, since due to the length of the pile the vacuum may cause some snagging. It's a surprisingly low maintenace rug.

It does not have a rubber backing. It has that sewn-type backing instead. In fact, having purchased the rug last year, I was surprised to read the description today and see that it said non-skid. The rug didn't slid anywhere, but it's not rubber backed or that white backing. I liked the rug. I think it was fine for the price.

No it does not have a rubber backing. I purchased the 5x7 and it has a heavy woven backing. I have it on top of a low pile carpet and it does not move at all.

With the 5x8 I purchased, there is NOT skid-resistant backing. It's a hard, mesh backing, almost like on the back of regular carpeting. It would require putting a rug grip pad under it if you're putting it on a hard floor.

It doesn't appear to be a rubber backing, it's more like a burlap-feel. Ours is 8x10 and we haven't had any problems with it sliding on our concrete floor. We do have a couch on the side of it, but we also have a kitty that runs all over it and it hasn't skidded from that.

This rug has a rubberized backing. Not sure that it is actually rubber, but it is absolutely skid proof and I do check them for safety before using them. If it had not been skid-proof, I would have returned it.

This is a great product. If you like the look, I don't think you'll regret the purchase.

yes the backing is black, but honestly you can't see it unless you get down on your hands and knees and pull the carpet fibers apart. the shag is long enough to hide any of the dark color. I am really not sure why they put a black backing on it, but its really not a problem.

I would call it more of a cream, because it seems to be more yellow than gray. There are so many names for this color that your idea and mine might be totally different.

This is a part of the Canopy line, and if you have or can view any of these products, you'll get the true color. We will never see it the same online, as both camera and monitor colors vary.

It blends with all of today's neutrals beautifully in my opinion.

I did not look at the actual components in the backing, and it is not listed on the rug itself.

I can tell you that it is thick, supple, and looks as if it will hold up for a long time and multiple washings. It is a quality backing, and I know what you're talking about on the disintegrating backings. Infuriating!

I have had these through the washing machine on delicate cycle and am noting absolutely no degradation of quality. I think you will be pleased. If not, you do have the option to return. :)

I hope that helps!

No, it does not have a rubber backing but it's clean and not flaky on the back. I bought a separate rug mat (the meshy stuff) so it stays steady. I also recommend getting additional rug cushion. I went to a local carpet store and was able to purchase for 10 dollars the cushion they place under carpets - that made it really soft.

I have put mine int he washer on cold/delicate and hang dry. A little fluff in the dryer with NO HEAT or a good shake will bring them right back to life. I have the ivory rugs, so can't speak to colorfastness in darker colors. DO NOT put these in a hot dryer, they 'melt' and become matted.

I checked everyday for 3 months for the 8x10. Finally got it. It sells out quick though. I ordered mine around 10am and when I checked again that afternoon, it showed sold out again.
