Yes. The rubber retainers someone mentioned are to cushion the weights against the inter grip and provide some compression for the spinlocks. The person that said no either didn't get the collars in the package or threw then out. They are in a little box by themselves.

Yes, any they take forever to put on. A solid, unthreaded bar would be better, using spring locks.

aproximately 12 to 13 pounds is the shipping weight. To me, it feels closer to 15 pounds, but the shipping weight is probably the most accurate measurement.

I would also like to know the exact answer, but considering the shipping weight is listed as 12.9 lbs, I would take a guess the bar (w/locks) is probably 12.5 lbs?

The little instruction sheet that was with mine says 200lbs, which is more than adequate. More weight, you need the olympic type bars and weights.

As much as you'd want, but let me tell you that the one that i got was extremely greasy & came with these rubber attachments to hold on weights. Very unrealistic if you ask me. The pieces didn't all fit together. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT AT ALL!!!! SENT BACK!!!

The best answer that I have found online is around 200 pounds. The product does not indicate a maximum weight, which I consider to be a major flaw.
I can attest that it will hold 150 without any problem, but I have yet to test heavier amounts

answer 6
I've put 150lbs on it so far for deadlifts. I'm going to put 200 on it. I know it can hold at least that much. That's what the box said, "up to" 200 or was it 270. I'd be safe and go to 200. I am using it at home anyway so I can't cut loose and drop it after a hard workout which I would lifting over 200.

No weight limit info is given with this bar, but to be safe I wouldnt go over 150lbs with a 1" bar. If more weight is needed a full 6' olympic bar would be a better choice.

I would think so, as long as the hole in the weights is 1" in diameter.

answer 3
Check the dimensions of the 40 lb dumbell set. If it also has a 1" diameter for the weights, then yes. If the set says 2" or "Olympic" then, no.

A lot of metal products (including car parts and some kitchen products) are covered in a light oil to prevent rust since they may since for a while in not so dry environments before reaching your home. Usually odorless and wipes of or clean with a degreaser.

When we opened the package one of the spinlock collars and both the pins were missing. As it was a gift we don't have the receipt. How can we order replacements? The bar is useless without these parts.
