We have a 6 yr old & 4 yr old & they love it! Depending on size of child, I would say it would be fine for up to at least an 8 yr old. The weight limit is 130 lbs & our 6 yr old is as tall as some 9 yr olds so it's a little snug lengthwise even with the seat adjustment the whole way back.

Question

Is she enough weight?

I noticed a reviewer said her 37lb child didn't have enough weight for the wheels and had to put rubber bands on them so they wouldn't spin. My daughter is 2 1/2 and 31lbs, 35inches tall. Does anyone have a child around this weight that does fine with the wheels? Also, is it hard to steer at all?

answer 2
my youngest is 24 lbs and is too light i have to have my middle child ride to have enough weight and she is 31lbs. If you only have one child i suggest getting a cement block wrapped in a towel so not to damage the car and place it in the passenger seat. Im gonna assume a child needs to be at least 50lbs

My Grand Daughter has the same problem with the wheels spinning she weighs the same as your child....but after looking at the wheels im sure after a few times of being used that will not be an issue anymore because the wheels will have some wear on them...thus not making them spin anymore...but I agree they are kinda slick when put on out of the box.....and the steering is not a problem after the child gets the hang of the fact they have to actually steer the car......wish you Luck

You can purchse a RED Mustang convertible at Walmart, however they are not showing on-line. I just bought the red one for my daughter. One has tan seats, the other one has black seats. I opted for the tan because that red Mustang had a hood scoop. To see the two available red Mustangs, go to the Fischer Price home page. I did get a red on at my local Walmart in WI.

No the doors do not open, if you want something that has opening doors you should take a look at the Escalade. That even has a true FM radio in it I believe.

It has 3 different seat positions to give more leg room and grow with your child. I would say this could be used until they are at least 6 or 7 years old, maybe older if the child is still interested in it, the weight limit is 130 lbs.
