It has both. The foot pedal is low gear. If you hold the foot pedal, and twist the hand grip at the same time, that is high gear.

That happened to us too. We contacted customer service, they had us test stuff and sent us new parts. We ended up just returning and buying a different brand. So happy we did (Peg Perego is what we ended up getting and it works great for my 4 and 6 yr olds - might be a little big for 3 yr olds though)

Make sure you Charge the Battery for a FULL 18+ hours if you did that be sure the connection at the battery is snug and also check the connection under the seat but under the handle bars. Hope this helps.

check and make sure the front bushings are on correctly, if the rear wheels, use a socket set to tighten instead of the wrenches provided.

Have it shipped to the store where your going to be in town and when you arrive you can just pick it up there. Or put someone on your pick up list besides you to pick it up for you.

i don't think walmart has layway anymore but you can check the internet to see if they have in stock in the store in phoenix by clicking on the iteam and entering the zip code and it will check the store availability

I have seen this rideon in the blue color as well as a black color on the offical fisher price website but i have only seen this color in red at the walmart store and at walmart online.

70 is really the max, anthing over that and the bike will not move. Also the battery life decreases with a heavier weight.

yes it is .The only thing different is that the tires on the blue one is a little bigger .the blue one is only sold at toysrus that is basically the difference i called power wheel company to ask and that was the answer they gave me.
