These are plastic wheels and they might not get good enough traction to sustain the slipperyness of the surface. I wouldn't chance it.

It had a hard time in dirt, so I'm pretty sure snow won't work. My sons wheels just kept spinning.

I would say no. Our neighbor is 7 and he is much too big for it. Our daughter is 6 and petite and she rides it. It is on the smaller side.

I would think he would be to big for this. My 5 year old who weights about 40lbs is getting close to being too big for this. His knees stick up a little high when he's on it. As for something for him to rid on I would look for a 50cc mini quad four wheeler.

Question

How long does it take to charge the battery and how long does the charge last?

We generally charge ours overnight. If the boys (5 of'em) ride long and hard, then we charge nightly but often once a week is fine. On the older model we have there is a battery monitor and if it shows low battery, one of the boys comes and tells me and it goes on charge right then. I usually leave it overnight.

I believe he's already too big for this to buy it now for him. My oldest is the same age and weight and his knees stick up to far on it when he's riding it, it looks uncomfortable but he's not complaining yet, yet being the keyword!

I recommend the Peg Perego brand quad. We bought this one and had to take it back. My 4 and 6 year olds have had the Peg Perego one for over a year now and LOVE it. I can see my 6 year old being able to ride for a couple more years easily.

Does it have a pedal that you push with your foot to make it go

answer 1
Yes. It has a foot pedal. If you push the foot pedal, that is low gear. It goes about 2-3 mph. If you hold the foot pedal and twist the hand grip at the same time, it goes in high gear. That is approximately 5 mph.

You'll have to contact the manufacturer for additional parts such as the wheels. We had to order an additional pedal, because we just know our son is going to break it.
