This particular style does not come in red. Hamilton Beach currently does not have a red blender.

The blender canister is 40oz which is a quart in the UK and just over a 32oz quart in the USA. It holds about 5 cups.

We found that most appliances have replacement parts available through the manufacturer. If you call Hamilton Beach, they can quote you a price and availability. We buy replacement parts regularly.

We live in an apartment and wait until about 10 am and so far no complaints. Yes when you chop up ice cubes, it will make noise, but then people in apartments expect to hear some sounds of living. Discuss with your neighbors. It helps.

Would this work as a food processor too?

I'm looking for a blender that would work just as well as a food processor for blending vegetables into seasoning. Would this be powerful enough?

Thank you for your question. Model 50246 cannot blend vegetables into seasoning. Do not try to mash potatoes, mix stiff dough, whip egg whites, grind raw meat, or extract juices from fruits and vegetables. Do not blend dry ingredients such as grains and/ or coffee beans. The blender is not made to perform these tasks.

Thank you for your question. The clutch on the base of Model 50246 is plastic. The clutch on the bottom of cutter assembly which attaches to the base is rubber.
