To determine the proper amount of oil to deep fry your turkey in this turkey fryer, place the thawed turkey upside down (legs facing up) on the poultry rack and place it in the empty pot. Then, fill the pot with water until the turkey is covered. Remove the bird and rack from the pot. Then, measure the amount of water in the pot-that's how much oil you need! Remember this is for outdoor use only.
