Can I use this y connector so that I can run the audio on my computer...and the audio on my HD TV??

you can run the audio from ANY headphone mini jack (mp3 player, portable cd/cassette deck or stereo, PSP, DSlite (not sure of other ds's) as long as what you are plugging it into accepts the RCA audio style input.
