Yes it will work just fine with a cordless.

As you know it uses your computer and Internet service so you can make local and long distance calls in the U.S. and Canada with no monthly bills. It works with DSL and Cable, The faster the speed the better the connection. I guess for some a slower speed does not work.
To use magicjack, you take the time to register (so 911 will locate you) and add contacts (address phone numbers etc to make dialing easy).
You connect any household phone (croless or with a cord) to magicJack--or you can use your speaker/micro on your computer to call or a computer headset too. Then you plug magicJack into an available USB port on your computer, using the supplied extension cord if needed. Finally you wait for the completion screen to appear to use your phone like you always have. (NOTE: You must check to make use the magicjack setting is for telephone and not headset or your phone will not work. Also this where you adjust the volume. Sometime if the volume is set on max you get an echo. It can be fixed by turning it down some.
There are not many instruction as to how to set up your voice mail boxes, message etc but once you figure the system out you can do it. I think they can improve on how that part is set up, however once you figure it out, it is great! I love to be able to get my messages---they are clear too!
One problem I am having is the timestamp seem to be for back east when a call comes in so it is how to know what time the call actually occurred but the day is always correct. So far i have not found a way to correct this issue.
As others have said, you can use the computer at the same time however depending on what you are doing it can affect the ability for clear function. It can cause the voice to cut out like on a cell phone. So I just avoid scrolling and any voice/movie type function while using the phone. It is great to be able to look up info while talking on the phone!
I heard you can plug magicjack directly to your modem so your phone works all the time but i have not found a way to make that work as of yet.

There is an additional fee for international calling. But, no the party you are calling here in the US, in Mexico, in Tibet or on the moon just needs a live phone, they don't need to have Magic Jack.

You can receive calls from anywhere. I am not sure if you can get collect calls though, I doubt it. All you pay for is the initial set up and purchase (it is like a subscription and the equipment, which is very small).

Theoretically, yes. You'll have to link them using splitters and run line from room to room. It may be a bit of a hassle, but it is very doable.

Na, you can keep it, though you have to plug a phone into the magicjack adapter. So if you want to keep both numbers, maybe a 2 line phone (Thats what I have).

I'm Sure you can but you don't need one. The magic jack has free voice mail. You can check your messages from any computer through your email acct.
