I didnt even have to pull anything to experience that. I was not able to go over 65 in my dodge ram 2500. The truck handled like it had a broken sway bar. I had mine about 2 weeks and took them off of the vehicle.

Load Range E is a 10 ply tire
NO mileage warranty

answer 2
Load range E is for a heavy truck hauling heave loads or pulling a heavy trailer, the sidewalls are thicker and can support more weight than a "P" or a "D" rated tire.
WalMart does not offer anything "extra" for your purchase of these tires but if you open a new WalMart card you can usually get 18 months 0% financing on this purchase but you have to ask the cashier for the promotion card and they will have to scan it at the time of the purchase.

According to WalMart there is no tread wear warrenty on this tire but I have 28,000 miles on mine and the tread still has about 75% life left on them, I know thet the seccond half of the tread will wear faster but I expect to get atleast 50,000 miles out of this set.

Question

Different price = Different load range?

In the 265/70R17 there are two different offerings. One is $200 and the other is $170. Since the specifications don't list load ratings, I'm assuming the $200 is Load Range E and the $170 tire is Load Range C?

yes, not that much louder at all. Great ride and excellent traction. Recommend rotate and balance them every 2-3 months though...

answer 2
No, they aren't quite. They are actually pretty loud on the highway. It's kind of a whirring noise. I actually liked listening to them, but have gotten so used to it that I either don't notice anymore or they aren't quite as loud after some wear.

Question

Why speed rated at 43 MPH? Is that a typo?

On the 265/70R17 E Authority, it shows speed rating is 43 MPH. I want to spend the extra money for the load ability, but don't want to have to drive 43 MPH.

I have these tires on my truck. The speed rating listed here is wrong. The actual rating (as posted on the tire) is "Q" which equals 99 mph. On a side note, I love these tires.

Yep, the 265/70/17 will do just fine and fill the wheel wells like a factory tire but with allot more tread, and for an update I now have 28,000 miles on mine and the tread is only about 25%worn off, amaizing life for an off road tire.
