Does this Kitchen have sound effects ?

I am looking to buy my Daughter a play kitchen for her 2nd birthday coming up. I've been looking at quite a few and can't seem to make up my mind. I want want that's easy to assemble, and spacious. But I really want to get her one that makes sounds. Can some one help me ?

Can't really remember the dimensions, but it's not that big, I too have a small play room and it fits in a small corner perfectly. I have 3 (2 year olds) and the kitchen is just a bit taller than them. As for the width, it's not that wide. By looking at it, I think it's like 3'x5 or 6'.

Question

could i drill my own holes to install the doors to open left to right

i would like to install the doors so that they open like a cabinet and not like a dishwasher/stove- so they don't get used as steps. do you think this would be possible for a handy person or does something prevent it?

my boys do open the doors and often step on them, but the doors are pretty low to the ground. I don't think it's a good idea to drill your own holes because the material that is made of is pretty sensitive/soft and you might end up damaging the doors.

It would not be really easy. The doors are square but the hinges are attached with a rivet looking attachment and the way they attach you couldn't just turn the doors sideways because there isn't the same lip on the side as there is on the bottom.

A handy person could drill new holes although there are latch spaces already in the doors (so it would be obvious you installed it differently from the intended). That's actually a good idea because I noticed the doors get dropped to the floor a lot. I stuck a foam mat underneath so the kitchen wouldn't get damaged but drilling the holes on the side would solve that problem too.

I'm not sure, but they packed a LOT into that box. It would easily fit into the trunk of a car. The box however, it VERY heavy. I had to have my husband carry it into the house!

My daughter has the Melissa and Doug food groups play food with crates. Yes, the crates fit inside the refrigerator. We put two on the bottom shelf and two on the top and the door closes just fine!

The Melissa & Doug crates don't really fit anywhere in the kitchen. Ours are sitting on the top of the fridge. The baking sheet that comes w/ the cookie set doesn't fit inside the oven or dishwasher very well, but we also had some other pans that we use.
