Enjoy TV programs on the go. The built-in ATSC tuner can receive over-the-air digital broadcasts. You can connect your digital media player to watch video clips or digital still via the USB port or insert a miniSD memory card to view digital photos. The A/V input connects to external devices, such as a DVD player or cable/satellite box. Includes high-capacity lithium-ion rechargeable battery for long playing time. Note: You must have a source of HD programming in order to take full advantage of an HDTV. Otherwise, the picture quality of an HDTV without an HD source may not be much better than that of a standard-definition TV. Please contact your local cable or satellite TV provider for details on how to upgrade to HD programming.

Yes it does. You can get the A/V cables at Radio Shack.

The AV input requires 3.5mm AV cables.

Is this an HDTV or a SDTV with a digital tuner?
The specs for this item seems to imply that this 7 inch portable television is an HDTV. The description even has the HDTV signal advisory stating that the set is capable of receiving and displaying HDTV signals with proper input or a standard definition picture will be displayed.
How is this item capable of being an HDTV if the resolution is only 480i? Is the resolution provided in the specifications an error, or is this item incorrectly presented as an HDTV when it is actually an SDTV with a digital ATSC tuner?
Please clarify as I would prefer it to other 7inch portable TV models which are only digital portable TVs and aren't 7 inch HDTVs. Thanks!

No, this is not an HDTV. The resolution is indeed 480i. Nowhere on the TV packaging does it say it is an HDTV. However, it does have a digital tuner and will pick up the HDTV signal and display it in nice wide screen mode.

There is no car adaptor included in the packaging. You can definately purchase a car charger separetly.

Is this really an HDTV?
Although this tv seems to not be able to display an HDTV signal and is not an HDTV, it is implied that this set is an HDTV as in the item title and description on the website. The claimed resolution is 480i and it seems to actually be a widescreen SDTV with an NTSC digital tuner.
Is it misleading to call this tv an HDTV or am I missing something?

The box my unit came in says "7" Portable LCD Television, 7-inch widescreen active matrix TFT Screen, Integrated Digital & Analog (ATSC/NTCS) TV Tuner". Neither the box or the manual say "HD".
