Looking for Answers about GE GE 12-Cup Gourmet Coffee Maker?

The Replacement GE 12 cup carafe fits All GE 12 cup coffeemakers sold for the last 2 years. Unfortunately this is only offered in Black. I do not know of any source that can supply you a white carafe for your unit.

you can't turn it off. It is a safety feature they put into the coffee maker to help prevent fires and keep their liability down. Mr. Coffee has a coffee maker that doesn't have the shut off feature, but it isn't programmable.

Press and hold the clean button down for about 30 seconds or so and then press start. Check your charcoal filter in the back where you add the water, if that has not been changed it doesn't matter how often you "clean" it, it wont stay off till that is changed.

This is a standard item stock at most Walmart Stores. 169218 is the part number for the Charcoal filter and this is used for 3 different GE coffee maker models.
The UPC code for the Charcoal filter is 681131692182. Your store should be able to order based on the UPC number and stock for you.

You can purchase the replacement carafe at Walmart. I just bought 1 about 2 weeks ago. I was able to find it close to the coffee pots, even though when I purchased my machine, they were directly underneath the display.

The owners manual says to first remove the charcoal filter, then fill the tank with half water / half white vinegar (or your favorite descaling product).
Put the carafe back into it's normal brewing location on the warmer and then press and hold the auto clean button for 2 seconds until the auto clean process begins. The lamp will then blink. You can stop the process by pressing the button again and holding it for a minimum of 3 seconds. By design, this needs to be done after EVERY 60 brew cycles. The light should extinguish by itself after the completion of the auto clean cycle.
The manual suggests you replace the filter cartridge after each auto clean cycle, but says that is "optional". The filter is actually optional as well.

Take it back! I had the same problem. If you don't have the receipt, email/call GE. There's a year warranty on it. GE didn't have any answer for me other than return it.

The Temperature from the shower head is between 195 to 205 degrees F during the brew cycle.

If you are talking about the Permanent Coffee filter you can use dish soap and water or run it through your dishwasher. I would put it in the top rack of the dishwasher to be safe.

With the machine plugged in but not in brew cycle, press the clean cycle for 3 seconds and it will begin the clean cycle. If you press the power button again or clean button again while in the clean cycle it will shut off clean cycle and turn off clean button.

If this doesn't work you can press: Press TSB and 1-4 button for 3 seconds. Err will appear in the display and the clean light will go out.
