Absolutely YES. We use it without a TV. The system has its inbuilt speaker and it works great.

The mike needs in my case as it was wireless (Pyle wireless mike). The one which comes with this system which is wired, I dont remember it needs one. I just hooked it up and it worked fine.

Not Sure. If this can get connected to the TV, then it means it is possible to connect to any other external speaker system too.

The G in CD+G mean graphics. Only CDs with the graphis will display words on the screen. Regular CDs don't have the graphics written on them, therefore the player has nothing to display.
