Question

Battery life

It states above that this laptop has a 6 cell Lithium-ion battery. Does anyone know how many hours this battery will last. I looked on the HP site for this model as well and there is no indication. I am hoping that someone has the laptop and can let me know. Thank you and Happy Holidays!

The actual battery life on this unit is appoximately 3 hours under normal use. If you need longer battery life you can get an extended life battery or an additional battery.

I was wondering the same question, but I think I read somewhere that a 6 cell battery lasts about 8 hrs. I don't have the laptop yet, but considering it. I want a long life battery

Does this have any slots to insert an sd card or memory stick

I would like to also ask if these speakers are decent,good or bad.I have never had a laptop and don't need one very often.I mainly want this to type stats to transfer,edit pics and listen to cds while working.Thank you in advance for your input.

Yes the speakers are good. My son watched his DVD and it was loud enough and I listened to music on it and it was loud enough.

will the Intel celeron9002.2GHz single core chip run multiple applications fast enough in Win7 and still maintain security while on the web?

this processor is in the notebook model #G71-329WM. I have not used single core processors only dual core. Intel;s web site was difficult. It had an article stating Celeron processors dual-core have microarchitecture so that security is maintained while running more than one app. However there were no celeron's listed in their product database that said they were dual core. So is it a single that operates like a dual or what?

Yes it does. When I went on several sites, the security system did pop up and it does operate like a dual.

No it does not have a web cam but one can be purchase at an inexpensive price through walmart.

Call of Duty 4 will run on this PC. It is very hard to say what the download speed will be as there are many factors other than the PC in that equation!

This PC does not include a memory card reader, but it does include a media player. If you need a PC that has a built in card reader you should look a the HP Pavilion dv series of notebook computers. I would recommend the dv6.

This PC does have an integrated number pad as a part of the full size keyboard. It is a great feature to have if you have to work with numbers often.
