Yes it has a self timer, 2 and 10 second modes. Movie recording: 640 x 480 pixels, 320 x 240 pixels, 30 frames/second with monaural sound, I never used the video but I think it will last as long as the memory card you use.

that depends if you leave the camera on when not using it and if you use cheap store brand batteries and if you use regular alkaline vs. rechargeable. I tested alkaline vs rechargeable and the rechargeable (Ni-Mh) last 3x longer.

I dont know much about digital cameras but while comparing many of them this week i saw that some could only handle a 2 OR 4 GB card....why is that....Can this camera handle up to am 8gb card?
