Yes, there is a slide clip on both sides of the lid that you move over the lid to lock it securely.

You might try to email or write GE if you really want a replacemant. It might cost as much as the crock pot. If it isn't a real new one you might try the second hand stores. I have found replacement lids to many things there. Good Luck!

No, this is not the one that was recalled. I just looked under GE Recalls and found it was a different model, with a blue insert. It didn't look anything like this model.
