You need an adapter with a 6 volt output, which you should be able to get from Radio Shack.

Question

Help! I have a mechanical prob!

I procrastinated and didnt use this right away. Now that I have begun using I noticed a problem. I can turn the computer panel on and set a workout and begin to pedal. Though, it seems that the pedals are not relaying their motion the the computer bc when not in motion the machine (and fan) auto turn off. So I program my workout, turn on the fan and begin to pedal. The clock does not count down. The distance does not change and the fan automatically turns itself off as if the pedals are not in motion. HOW DO I FIX THIS??? I would like to use this machine for what it is meant to do. Is a wire not plugged in maybe? I don't think this is a pinching issue...Any suggestions???Thanks.

Look at the last page of the owners manual - it describes how to remove the cover from the flywheel housing to check the reed mechanism.

If you are uncomfortable in doing that, and you are still under warranty, you can call the support number for further assistance.

If the pedals arent moving it stops & will shut off automatically after blinking the results a few times; I assume this is a battery saver idea...? I think it will resume the same results if you start pedaling soon after.

Judging by the manual, it looks as though for this machine the serial number is located underneath the machine by the right foot pedal. You will need to tip the machine in order to read it.

I think 1 is the lowest. Try doing smaller sets. Try going only 5 minutes and work your way up to longer times if you can.

I have no idea. The flywheel came assembled inside the machine. You only need to assemble the handles, foot pedals and plastic name plate cover, gold gym. You need two people to lift it out or get it out of the box. You don't need to handle the flywheel itself. Also, the magnetic resistance is adjustable, the increase or decrease of which makes the flywheel heavier or lighter for you to pedal. Hope my answers helped you.

I don't own this machine yet, but I was just taking some measurements on the display in the store last night to make sure it would fit where I want it. I measured the pedals to be about 18 inches high at their highest point.

A review on 9/27/2010 says to set it to positive. Specifically, "I bought a $14 Powerline universal AC adapter (3-12 Volts/600ma) from Walmart and it works perfectly. Set it to 6V and be sure to use positive polarity or you will ruin your console."
