Question

How do you get the machine to work?

My husband put this together and we don't know how to get it to start. We are wondering if it is broken but he hates to take it apart since it took over 2 hrs to put together. Are we missing something? Should there be a power cord? It seems so but we do not have one.

If you want the counsel (display, time, fan, etc.) to work, you need 4 D batteries or an adapter. Battery case is on the other side of the counsel (on the far left and right), you need a screwdriver. Otherwise just get on the machine and start pedaling....it should go.

It takes batteries in the back of the monitor part, start to peddle or press a work out option & it will start right up.

Good to use in a carpeted room?

Is this particular elliptical good for home use, in a carpeted room? Should there be a mat placed under it? I plan on using it daily for about an hr. Thanks!

I put it in my carpeted room and my bf put 2 pieces of plywood under it (40 x 16inches), he said to distribute the weight well and protect the carpet. Seems to be working.

I use it on my carpeted room. It rocks side to side a little, but that is mentioned in the manual, and how to fix the problem. The rocking also indicates that I am rocking side to side instead of standing straight up using my legs.

I have no idea. The flywheel came assembled inside the machine. You only need to assemble the handles, foot pedals and plastic name plate cover, gold gym. You need two people to lift it out or get it out of the box. You don't need to handle the flywheel itself. Also, the magnetic resistance is adjustable, the increase or decrease of which makes the flywheel heavier or lighter for you to pedal. Hope my answers helped you.
