It prints everything the computer sends to it or you put on top of the glass for printing. It prints color and black and white with keys to tell it which is color and which is to be black printing.

Did not use any more ink than others. Is a good printer for compatible systems. Check with Canon for technical issues.

At the back of the printer there is a folded down lid that tilts back to load the paper.

The paper tray is located at the BACK of the machine. You pull it straight up and the tilt it back slightly.

Yes you can just stick your memory card in and print photos without hooking it up to a PC. At least that's what it says on the manufacturer’s website. Below is the link if you would like to check it out yourself:
