I believe that it covers an area of 1800 square feet but if you have a multi floor home, you will need one on each floor, this I am positive about.

According to the manufacturer, each unit covers a small house that has 1 fuse box. You would need one unit per floor. I would also suggest using the Viatek REVPCKGPR50/0706 Ultrasonic Pest Repeller with Nightlight simultaneously for the best protection. Walmart.com sells it too. Both units and instructions are on the walmart.com site for complete information.

I HAVE FOUND THAT IT IS MORE SUCCESSFUL IF THERE IS ONE UNIT ON EACH LEVEL OF THE HOME. IF THERE IS A CRITTER IN YOUR HOUSE IT MAY RETREAT TO THE LOWER LEVEL OR UPPER LEVEL WHERE THE SOUND THAT IS GOING OUT OF THE ITEM THROUGH YOUR ELECTRIC WIRING IS LESS AND IF THE WHOLE HOUSE IS COVERED BY THIS PRODUCT THEY WILL WANT TO GET AWAY FROM IT AND WILL VACATE THE PREMISES. GOOD LUCK BECAUSE THIS ITEM DOES WORK AND IT STARTS VERY QUICKLY TO RID YOUR HOME OF UNWANTED PESTS.

I came back to answer my own question. I purchased two of these a few months ago and it has worked great along with a couple of ultrasonic devices. I had 3 or 4 large rats and god knows how many mice, but it seems the devices drove most of them away and some how caused a couple to attack each other as I found a dead one in my attic with bite marks a week later. No other signs of activity since. Great product.

It might diminish it's effectiveness, but I'm not sure. Try it and see if the pests disappear.

As long as it has a power source to it, yes it would work. The power still goes thru all the wiring.

I live in south Florida. Lizards enter my front & back porches, but even though I usually leave my front & back doors open, the lizards never enter my house. I've used the product for about 2 years now & I'm pleased with it.

IN AS LITTLE TIME AS 2 WEEKS I SAW NO MORE SPIDERS OR INSECTS OF THAT KIND IN MY HOME. WHERE I LIVE HAS ALOT OF TREES AND SCRUBS AND SPIDERS AND INSECTS ARE KNOWN TO INHABIT A HOME IF THOSE TREES AND SCRUBS ARE GONE OR DAMAGED FROM OUTSIDE FORCES SUCH AS DROUGHTS AND BLIZZARDS. SO WHEN THEY STARTED TO COME INDOORS I ACTED QUICKLY AND SENT THEM PACKING WITH THIS ITEM.
