I've had mine 3 yrs now & have kept it up through the winter with no problems. I do drain the water 1/2 way down to make sure no water can freeze through the hose holes. I'd left my 1st full 4 yrs ago and when it froze ice formed in the hose hole and when the ice cracked it tore the pool wall. I keep water in it so the strong spring winds don't tear it down.

My pool was not anchored down and I didn't keep any water in it. The wind caught it. Bent several poles and connectors. What may be more of interest to you is that the plastic surface skimmer housing that the pump mounts to cracked in several places when we had a deep freeze (14F).

We had ours for 5 years and now the poles are rusted out. It costs more to replace the poles than to buy another pool. So we are going to buy a new pool this year.

It will sag sideways and eventually fall.

answer 2
yes. although you can probably get away with it not being perfectly level, the force of water to one side will stress the frame.

also, if you have splashers/children that like to make waves to the point that it wets the ground, you will find that the post will sink more causes the leveling issue to get worse.

answer 2
You use all the normal chemicals, unless you purchase the salt system from wal-mart. But you use Chlorine, and an Algae preventer or killer, and Baking soda to keep up the PH. The salt system takes away all the chemicals and you use salt only. First you have to get the water clear and clean with chemicals and at the right chlorine and ph levels. Then the salt will keep it stabilized.

Question

Can the ladder be removed daily?

I'm thinking of buying this product for my older kids to use, but afraid of having one around with my 3 year old. If the ladder can be removed EASILY, I would consider buying it. Does anyone know?

Yes, the ladder is pretty easy to remove. You could do it yourself or have your kids help you. We take ours out every night.

The formula for round pools is Width times Length times Depth times 5.9. a 15 foot by 4 foot deep holds 5310 gallons. (15x15x4x5.9=5310). It will actually hold a little less because you wont fill it all the way to the rim.

Question

HELP!! Water went in, pool not level!!

We purchased the pool, leveled the ground to the best of our ability, and ordered the water which was supposed to come Fri. The water came today instead, two days before schedule. We were not 100% ready for it and now there is a very obvious lean to the pool now that it is filled that we did not see before. I don't know if we should drain the pool, or live with it. Any suggestions/advice appreciated!

The weight of the water will eventually cause the pool to breach and that could tear the vinyl so I would drain it and re-level. There are several good videos on the web for leveling the ground.

Drain your pool. Mine was not level. I had to drain it and re-do it. I re-did mine by putting it up and going around the whole thing with a level to make sure it was even. Keep checking it as the pool fills. Cause if you wait till it is filled, your to late.

answer 3
It depends. I placed mine on what I thought was a level patch of ground. It turns out that one side of the pool is 2 blue squares (on the liner) lower than the other side. I used the blue squares in the liner as markers. I think this is acceptable. If the slope was greater than that then I would drain the pool and dig until level. So far we have had no problems.
