I was told it uses verizon network but dont call verizon for support cause they won't know what you're talking about. I looked up my phone info online and it showed up as a verizon number. And I have great reception so I would say yes it does.

It should. The C in the model number R451C indicates CDMA Network, which is the Network that Verizon use.

Question

Size of the phone?

The specifications say this phone is over 10 inches long (for those playing along at home, that's nearly a foot). I assume that's a mistake. Would anyone be willing to measure their phone?

answer 1
Yes, you may transfer your telephone number from another company to Straight Talk. To port in your existing telephone number to your Straight Talk phone, the number you are porting must be active with your current service provider.

You need to request Straight Talk to port in your number, Straight Talk will process your request in your behalf. In order to request the transfer and initiate the activation process please go to www.straighttalk.com/Activate,and select the radio button option "Activate my phone with a number transferred from another company."

The transferring of your number to a new Straight Talk might take a few hours; however, if there are any delays from your current wireless carrier, the transfer process could take up to 7 days and in the case of landline numbers, transfers may take up to 30 days.

Your new Straight Talk will be ready to complete activation when your old phone stops working.

This is a GREAT question and I have the answer... YES, you can but ONLY if you have a "Bluetooth" printer... Just send your picture using the Bluetooth on your phone to your Bluetooth printer... It works great but I find it easier just to send them from Bluetooth from the phone to my Bluetooth computer.... then print as I need to.... GREAT question !!!

You must first cancel Verizon acct. before you can use that number on new phone. But call straight talk right after you do, so Verizon won't issue your number to someone else.

Current number can be transferred by using the Straight Talk website or calling Customer Service for assistance.

There's no charge to transfer a phone #.

Yes you can buy the phone and activate it with a random telephone number if that's what you like initially. Whence you're ready, simply go thru activation again and transfer your number. That's a smart process, to be sure the Straight Talk phone will perform in your area.

Question

If you get the version of this phone that only uses at&t/t-mobile towers, do you have to pick t-mobile or at&t, or can you use both towers?

Please do not answer this question with "Verison." That doesn't answer the question.

You do not choose the towers. The phone you are talking about is the Samsung T404G. I have a friend who had that phone. I have been told that AT&T and T-Mobile use the same towers. This particular phone you have this question under is the Samsung R451C and it runs off of Verizon. All phones models ending in the letter "C" (cdma) run off of Verizon towers. The phone models ending in the letter "G" (gsm) run off AT&T/T-Mobile towers.

OK ... I think I know what you're asking. This phone (R451C) will NOT work on either AT&T or T-Mobile because it is a CDMA phone..... The T401G (very much alike) WILL use AT&T or T-Mobile but you DO NOT get to choose.... Straight Talk will sell you the phone that has the best service in you area... Also, Walmart will only have in stock the phone that works best in your area.... either AT&T or T-Mobile, but not both ....

"C" in the model name means CDMA and that is VERIZON network.

451C is not going to work on the AT$T /T-Mobile Towers.

If you need or want phones for AT$T or T-Mobile look for "G" in the model name or no letter code at all.

So.... VERIZON.
